Product description

Review

"The art book of the decade. . . Absolutely stunning. If you know anybody who loves color, or art, or ever took a color class at art school, or just has bibliophilic tendencies, they will remember you fondly forever if you give it to them."--Felix Salmon, Reuters

"The magnificent presentation of this edition will continue to make this book indispensable to the next generation of art students and teachers alike."--Douglas F. Smith, Library Journal

"Josef Albers's Interaction of Color stands alone among color theory books: a classic that never fails to surprise with its continued relevance."-- Imprint

"The three-volume set of Josef Albers's seminal work of color theory is a delight to page through, whether [one] is an artist or just deciding what color to paint the bathroom."-- New York Magazin e, "Expensive Gifts for Dads That Are Actually Worth It"

Description from the back cover of the book

One of the most influential books on color ever published, Josef Albers' "Interaction of Color" is a masterwork. This book replicates Albers' revolutionary exercises, explaining concepts such as color relativity and vibrating and vanishing boundaries through the use of color, shape, die-cut forms, and movable flaps.

About the author

Josef Albers , one of the most influential artist-educators of the 20th century, was a member of the Bauhaus group in Germany during the 1920s. In 1933 he came to the United States, where he taught at Black Mountain College for sixteen years. In 1950 he joined the faculty at Yale University as chairman of the Department of Design. The recipient of numerous awards and honorary degrees, Albers was elected to the National Institute of Arts and Letters in 1968 and was professor emeritus of art at Yale until his death in 1976. Nicholas Fox Weber is executive director of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation

SHIPPING & RETURNS

1. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order details, and are shown in full before you confirm your order.

2. Payment on delivery
Orders are paid in cash to the courier at the time of delivery. Please have the full order amount, including shipping, ready in USD or L.L. Couriers cannot provide change for large notes.

You may inspect the package for visible damage before paying. If the package is visibly damaged or the wrong item, refuse it and contact us the same day.

3. Processing and delivery time
For deliveries within Lebanon, estimated delivery is 2–5 business days from order placement, including processing. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. We will contact you if your order will take longer.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary with location, carrier performance, or factors outside our control. Delivery outside Lebanon varies by destination; contact us for an estimate before ordering.

4. Shipping method and tracking
Orders ship via Wakilni. Tracking details are sent once your order is dispatched.

5. Delivery attempts and failed deliveries
Our courier will attempt delivery 2 times. Please make sure your phone number and address are correct and that someone is available to receive and pay for the order.

If delivery fails because the address or phone number provided was incorrect or incomplete, or because no one was available across all attempts, we may charge a re-delivery fee before shipping again.

Refusing a correctly delivered order is not a cancellation. Orders can be cancelled free of charge at any point before dispatch — see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Shipping fees
Shipping fees are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched, unless the return is due to our error — a wrong, defective, damaged or misdescribed item — in which case we cover shipping in both directions.
